Afro Delight Limerick

Afro delight was convinced initially in 2020, registered as a private limited company in 2021 at the height of the pandemic, where it highlighted the need for a food take away premises that cater to the Nigerian diaspora but more importantly catering to all.

Afro Delight was born from a need rather than a want. Where 4 identifying Nigerian-Irish men came together to fulfil that need for the betterment of their surrounding community at large. According to the 2016 consensus, there is now a large amount of Identifying Nigerians and Africans here in Limerick city and county. There are over 2 larger Nigerian grocery stores and over 4 hair/beauty salons that cater to the Nigerian/African diaspora, but are not limited to. There is now a healthy integration of culture from different parts of the world that can be found here in Limerick, which adds to the vibrancy and diversity of the city. Between the founding members, we have 8 children who are all under 12 that have dual nationalities and are as proud to see this representation as many others who are born here on the island of Ireland that proudly represent both cultures. The founding members have shared a bit about themselves below:

Tobi Omoteso – is a multidisciplinary artist and an Electronics Engineer, who loves and is passionate about all things art. He is heavily involved in community outreach programs nationwide using Street Dance and Hip-hop as a way of influencing the youths and community in a positive manner, which runs under the umbrella of Top 8 Street Dance Battle.

Michael Ololouo – is a passionate football player and a Senior Sales Representative, who loves all sporting endeavours as he regularly plays with the local soccer community here in Limerick city. From time to time he also gives lessons in sales and also the world of investing in stocks and cryptocurrencies.

Anthony Onaloye is a DJ, founder of Afropopcity and a senior sales specialist, he has been involved with multiple events and festivals and holds a regular monthly night in limerick city to promote and showcase other world music and cultures.

Michael Ikoro – is a social media presenter and a Nurse who loves to interact with people and explore social topics that affect the society and community at large.

The founders thrive on representation, inclusion and diversity across the community and hope this is a way of being the change they want to see happen.

Afro delight operates on a per time bases from Thursday to Sundays 5pm – 10pm, Delivery services from 6pm while collection is from 5pm, with pre-orders available, with a 24hr lead time. Some of our popular dish are as followed:

Puff Puff with – Caramel or Chocolate

(Stirred fry rice, mix veg, prawns, afro spices)

Egusi & Fufu

(creamy-white Egusi melon seeds which are ground and poached in seasoned stock, often with a mix of protein)
