JUST EAT, Ireland’s leading takeaway app, has today become the Official Takeaway App to GirlCrew, the community group which facilitates social meet ups for women across Ireland and Europe, in an exciting partnership that will see JUST EAT feeding fun and friendship by supporting ‘Girls’ Night In’ events in Ireland which are organised by GirlCrew.

GirlCrew is the easiest way for women aged 25+ to make new friends. With over 35,000 members in over 40 cities around the world, girls avail of private, female only groups that allow everyone to organise any event or get together at any time of day or night. The ability to find some new friends for gigs, checking out new foodie spots or even some new pals to travel the world with has seen countless friendships evolve out of the worldwide phenomenon over the last two years and GirlCrew look forward to launching their own app later this year.

The original focus of GirlCrew was on ‘meet ups’ outside of the home but as the community grows and builds, members of GirlCrew have started to organise a variety of ‘Girls’ Nights in’ events.  With no girls night in complete without a takeaway, JUST EAT will provide much needed sustenance through the provision of takeaway Gift Cards to official GirlCrew ‘Stay in’ events, as well as surprises and promotions throughout the year for members.

Speaking about the new partnership, Amanda Roche-Kelly Managing Director of JUST EAT Ireland said: “GirlCrew is such a terrific initiative which brings women together to forge potentially life-long friendships. We know that every night in is enhanced with a takeaway, and with over 30 cuisine types on JUST EAT, there really is something for everyone. Whether the girls are meeting to watch a movie, to play Xbox, to play old fashioned board games or simply for a chat we hope their night is enhanced by the arrival of a takeaway. GirlCrew and JUST EAT are ideal collaborators, as both enable people to enjoy themselves and have fun.”

Speaking from GirlCrew, was co-founder, Pamela Newenham who commented, “Food, like GirlCrew brings people together. As GirlCrew grows and evolves we have seen a demand among our members for a more chilled out night in style event, which is why we are delighted to collaborate with JUST EAT. GirlCrew is the easiest way for women around the world to make new friends, and JUST EAT is the easiest way to get a takeaway so the partnership really is a great fit.”
