Introducing – Firehouse Pizza

Every week, we’ll feature one of our favourite restaurants in Ireland.  This week, it’s the turn of FIREHOUSE PIZZA!  Here’s what they had to say about themselves, and why they like being on Just-Eat.ie!

From fire department helmets, patches & t-shirts on the walls, to the uniquely named pizzas a familiar theme is present throughout when you walk into Firehouse. Founded by long time friends, Stephen, (a Fire fighter/Paramedic, serving in Dublin Fire Brigade) and Paul in late 2011, Firehouse offers a wide range of classic & very innovative gourmet pizzas to create a distinctive and contemporary eating style for you to enjoy at home.

We are the Gluten Free Pizza Delivery specialists; all our pizzas have a GF pizza base option, as do most of our side dishes & homemade desserts. Our kitchen is designed with GF in mind, with designated preparation sections, equipment and delivery bags. Catering to special dietary needs is a very important part of our business; we offer Vegan/lactose free mozzarella & low fat mozzarella cheese as alternatives. A delicious wholegrain pizza base will be available shortly, watch this space.

Located in Ballymun village we have quickly become involved in the community. In 2012 we won Best Shop in the Ballymun tidy town’s competition & we proudly sponsor the DCU Women’s Football Team & many of the societies in DCU, as well as supporting many local projects, like the Meakstown Community Games Team.

As an independent Irish owned pizza delivery company, we believe in offering exceptional value & fast free delivery*, with an emphasis on supporting Irish food producers, so we can deliver the finest pizzas, with the freshest ingredients to you (our pineapples are just one of our ingredients that are sliced up fresh everyday). We only use certified Irish chicken & beef. We are truly committed to bringing you the best at every bite, like our chicken Caesar salad with smoked bacon lardons & shaved Grana Padano parmesan. Our recently introduced Nachos range have proven to be very popular; with a choice of cheesy, Cajun chicken or chilli beef as an option with our meal deals.

Coming soon to our menu will be slow cooked lamb meatballs in a rich tomato & basil sauce served with ciabatta. Firehouse will also be kicking off our guest pizza of the month in March with our take on a classic Irish dish, our Savage Bacon & Cabbage pizza. This unique pizza will have a creamy herb sauce, topped with Dubliner cheddar, a sauté of York, Savoy & kale cabbage, pulled slow cooked ham hock with roast baby onions, shallots & baby potatoes. Our new party menus for all occasions will soon be available online or over the phone

Thoughts on Just-Eat.ie

Joining Justeat.ie was the next progressive step towards reaching our target customers and as a direct result we have seen a steady and continuous increase in business. Customers are increasingly looking for the best value and service and online ordering is certainly one of the biggest areas where they are going to find it. Log in, press a few buttons & hey! A hot fresh pizza arrives at your door.

After a few tweaks we have found the system very user friendly, we can amend menus & offers quiet easily. With the added bonus of Justeat.ie national advertising campaigns through press, radio and television, along with been the number one choice by search engine, this is an online ordering platform that can only grow and our business will grow with it.
