Just Eat Awards 2025 Promotional Terms Ireland

These promotional terms and conditions (hereinafter: ''Terms and Conditions'') apply to the Just Eat Awards 2025 (hereinafter: ''Just Eat ‘’Awards'' or ''Promotion''). The Just Eat Awards is an annual competition in the search for the best restaurants that are affiliated with Just Eat and is organised by Takeaway.com Central Core B.V. (‘’the Promoter’’, ‘’JET’’ or ‘’Just Eat Takeaway.com’’). Restaurants that meet the requirements as stated in these Terms and Conditions are automatically enrolled (‘’Participants’’) in the Promotion.

Restaurants

Restaurants are able to win prizes (the ‘’Restaurant Prizes’’) such as a unique Just Eat trophy, a range of top merchandise items, discount vouchers for you to spread amongst consumers and boosting in the platform for a two week period.

Within the Just Eat Awards, there are different types of winners:

One winner will be chosen for each the following categories - this will based on consumer voting:

Best Chain

Best Chipper
Best Grocery & Retail

Best Restaurant: Ireland

For the overall Best of Ireland winner, the winner will be based on the majority of votes, excluding Best Chain.

Nomination Criteria

There will be a number of nominees per category. When nominating the nominees, the following factors (‘’Nomination Factors’’) are taken into account, measured over a period of the last 12 months (November 2024 - November 2025).

A weighted score is used to ensure that all variables are counted carefully.

Consumer

The restaurant winners of the Just Eat Awards are determined based on public voting. By placing a vote a ‘’Consumer Participant’’ has the opportunity to win a ‘’Consumer Prize’’ as described in these Terms and Conditions. Per country there will be a maximum of one winner.

Promotional Terms

The Promotion

The Just Eat Awards are organised by Takeaway.com Central Core B.V., a private company with limited liability, incorporated under Dutch law, established in Amsterdam at Piet Heinkade 61, 1019 GM Amsterdam, The Netherlands and registered in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce under number 69769753, acting for itself and on behalf of any legal entity or person who directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or falls under joint control from Takeaway.com Group BV.
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Just Eat Awards and its Participants agree to these Terms and Conditions. Participants who violate these Terms and Conditions will be excluded from participating in the Promotion.
Employees of Just Eat Takeaway.com, their associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents or anyone connected with the Promotion are excluded from participating in the Promotion.
The Promotion starts on the 13th November and ends in March 2025 (‘’Promotion Period’’).
The Just Eat Awards will be held on the Just Eat platform
To be eligible to enter the Promotion and have a chance to win a Restaurant Prize, in the Just Eat Awards, the Participant must:
1. Be connected and available online at Just Eat for the duration of the entire Promotion Period.
2. Be established in the Netherlands and / or in one of the participating cities; and
3. Be nominated for one of the awards (All together, the ‘’Eligibility Criteria’’)
The Participant who has fulfilled the Eligibility Criteria can win one or more Restaurant Prizes. The winners are determined impartially by Just Eat Takeaway.com.
Just Eat Takeaway.com does not charge communication costs for participation in the Just Eat Awards.
Just Eat Takeaway.com reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the Promotion at any time without prior written notice and/or to alter or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, without liability to any Participants.
Promotion materials relating to the Promotion also form part of these Terms and Conditions but in the event of any conflict between such promotional materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.
Just Eat Takeaway.com may refuse or exclude nominees and winners in its sole discretion, without giving a reason and without being liable for any damage suffered by the Participant.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any consumer or restaurant Participant who believes not to be in compliance with these Terms and Conditions or not participating within the spirit of the Promotion or suspects of participating in any unfair or unjust behaviour. The Promoter reserves the right to use their discretion in all respects and to enforce any penalty or sanction they deem appropriate. If fraud by a Participant is assumed or confirmed, the participant in question will be immediately disqualified. The following will at any case be understood as fraud: forging, buying and/or otherwise influencing Just Eat reviews or votes for the Awards.

Selection and announcement of the winners - Restaurants

The winners of the Just Eat Awards 2025 are determined based on public voting together with an internal panel in Just Eat.
The voting window will be open from January 25th, 2026, and closes on February 8th, 2025, allowing the public to vote for their favourite restaurant via a publicly accessible website. The winner will be decided based on which nominee receives the highest number of votes. All votes will be subjected to a filtering process and fraudulent votes will be removed.
Just Eat Takeaway.com will not reveal the votes received for the public and only the winner will be announced. The winners of the Just Eat Awards will be announced on April 1st 2026.
Winners of the Just Eat Awards Restaurant Prizes guarantee that the personal information provided to Just Eat Takeaway.com is correct, truthful, and complete.
The complete list of winners will be announced on April 1st 2025 on https://www.just-eat.ie/awards/2023/en-IE/home using the Participant’s restaurant name.

Prizes - Restaurants

The winners in the ‘’Best Chain’’ category can win the following Restaurant Prizes:
1. Just Eat trophy
2. Social media assets for restaurant partners to use on their own social media
3. Discount vouchers for your restaurant chain to spread amongst consumers
The winners in any other category can win the following Restaurant Prizes:
1. Just Eat trophy
2. A unique range of merchandise items to use for delivery
3. Social media assets for restaurant partners to use on their own social media
4. Discount vouchers for your restaurant to spread amongst consumers
5. Two free weeks of Promoted placement, to be organised and managed by Just Eat Takeaway.com (for clarity: there will be no refund(s) for the restaurant’s own TopRank / Promoted Placement campaigns).

Selection and announcement of the winners - Consumers

The winner is determined randomly, and may include a consumer to answer an additional prize question correctly in order to measure skill and knowledge.
In order to win the Consumer Prize, the consumer must have placed at least one vote and verified their vote on https://www.just-eat.ie/awards/2023/en-IE/home during the voting phase .
Winners of the Just Eat Awards guarantee that the personal information provided to Just Eat Takeaway.com is correct, truthful and complete.
The winners will be announced in March 2026, via email.

Prizes - Consumers

The consumer can win a year of "free food" on Just Eat, which consists of a monthly voucher of €300, distributed every month for a year (12 months).
Each Participant can win a maximum of one Prize unless stated otherwise in these Terms and Conditions.

Terms applicable for both Consumer Prizes and Restaurant Prizes

Prizes cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash or other goods, prizes or services. In case the Participant refuses a Prize, the Prize remains the property of Just Eat Takeaway.com.
Prizes are subject to availability. The Promoter retains the right to substitute the Prizes (or any part thereof) with another prize of equivalent or higher value in the event the original Prize(s) offered are not available or due to an event beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter (including but not limited to where the Prize is withdrawn by the provider of that Prize before the Promotion takes place).
Prizes are personal and non-transferable.
Each Participant can win a maximum of one Prize unless stated otherwise in these Terms and Conditions.

Privacy

Liability

Participants acknowledge that participation in the Just Eat Awards is at their own risk.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by an Participant or his/her/their accompanying companions as a result of entering the Promotion or accepting any Prize.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of the Promoter for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
If the Promotion is terminated, amended or suspended for any reason, Just Eat Takeaway.com and third parties engaged by Just Eat Takeaway.com are not liable for any damage or costs incurred by Participants and Participants are not entitled to compensation.
Just Eat Takeaway.com and third parties engaged by Just Eat Takeaway.com are not liable for malfunctions in the network, hardware or software due to social media channels as a result of which data is delayed or lost.
Print material, including flyers, is subject to printing errors.

These Terms and Conditions will not be adjusted by Just Eat Takeaway.com during the Promotion Period of the Just Eat Awards, subject to obvious errors and spelling errors.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law. All disputes arising from the Just Eat Awards or these Terms and Conditions will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam (the Netherlands)
Any gambling taxes due in respect of this Promotion and/or any withholding tax that must be withheld from a Prize are for the account of Just Eat Takeaway.com.
Any taxes (other than gambling taxes and/or withholding taxes) due in respect of this Promotion are for the account of the winner.
A winner should consult their own (tax) advisors regarding the local tax and legal consequences of winning a Prize as won Prizes may need to be declared to the local (tax) authorities.
