Just Eat is delighted to announce that we are the Official Food Ordering App of Triathlon Ireland 2017.
To celebrate the announcement, we have launched the Just Eat Fit Food Club competition with Lynn Kelly model & fitness enthusiast and James Edgar Triathlon National Champion. Winners will receive annual membership to Triathlon Ireland, a food and fitness training plan, a Funked Up Fixie bike and Just Eat Gift Cards redeemable at a list of ‘Fit Food’ restaurant partners.
As part of the year-long sponsorship, Triathlon Ireland members will receive Just Eat vouchers in member packs and at the finishing line at a number of Triathlon Ireland events throughout the season. The activation will be rolled out at the first Triathlon Ireland event, the Belpark Phoenix Park Duathlon on April 22nd.
A recent Just Eat consumer index showed a huge surge in Just Eat orders of healthy food with a 100% year-on-year increase. Gluten free options proved to be extremely popular also with an increase of 158%. There are now over 1,900 restaurant partners on Just Eat nationwide with a number of healthy choices such as Chopped, Piply, Green Beards, The Punnet, Póg and weekly meal planners such as Gourmet Fuel, BodyChef and Paleo Meal Deliveries.
Speaking about the partnership Edel Kinane, Marketing Director, Just Eat Ireland, said “We’re very excited to announce Just Eat as official food ordering app of Triathlon Ireland this year. We know from our data that our customers are looking for more variety and cuisine options, from the very healthy – such as salads and sushi, right through to the traditional takeaways like Thai and Indian. The huge growth in the Triathlon Sport in Ireland, 20% year on year since 2005, also reflects Irish consumers wish to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle and we hope to meet this lifestyle need where possible on Just Eat.”
Chris Kitchen, CEO of Triathlon Ireland, said, “We are delighted to partner with Just Eat as the ‘Official Food Ordering App’ sponsor of Triathlon Ireland 2017. We admire their commitment to the sport by driving increased participation through competitions and providing the athletes with a food platform to fuel their training regime. We are excited to receive such invaluable support and look forward to working with Just Eat throughout 2017.”
